This type of fish oil is full of alkylglycerols (also found in human breast milk) that is traditionally used to increase stamina and fight respiratory infections in Scandinavia. Although it is fairly expensive as a regular supplement, some may think it is a worthwhile investment for robust health.

Garlic

The anti-bacterial properties of this traditional remedy are also great in going to war with flu symptoms. If you dislike the pungent smell, there are odorless options readily available though they are not as effective.

Zinc

Zinc is known for its healing power and can help strengthen your body’s immune system.Taking this mineral in combination with vitamin C further strengthens both their potency as antioxidants, but taking too much zinc should not be taking too lightly. Most brands would not recommend more than 15mg. You may even prefer to take this supplement only a few times a week, as opposed to everyday, but increase your intake when you actually have flu.
